How do I ensure the correct bleed and margins?

We recommend using our artwork templates for the best results. If a template is unavailable for your chosen product, please feel free to get in touch. We recommend using a 3mm bleed on most products and a 5mm safe zone. This will produce the best results.

Format size to be submitted.

Let the background of your images or solid colours continue to the bleed edge. This will ensure that there won't be a white edge around the outside when your artwork is cut.

Finished size.

This represents where your print will be cut.

Safe zone.

The safe zone shows the distance recommended between the text and the cutting of your design. This magin varies by product, but as a general rule of thumb, it should be 5mm as a minimum. The safe zone can be found on all of our file templates. The safe zone ensures essential elements of your design will not be cut off if there is a minor deviation in the cut.

Reminder.

When trimming your prints, minor deviations in cutting sizes are possible. A 2mm tolerance should be considered, but with most of our work, the tolerance we work to is 0.5mm.
