What is resolution?
You've more than likely heard about or read about what resolution is. In simple terms, the resolution is the quality of your images.
Resolution refers to the amount of detail an image contains. It is described as DPI (Dots Per Inch). The more dots per inch an image or asset has, the more detail the image contains. If your file or photo has a low resolution, there are fewer dots per inch; therefore, it will look blurry or jagged on a screen and when printed. When printing small products, your files need a high resolution of around 300 dpi, so the resulting print appears crisp and detailed. On the other hand, large format printing only requires around 72dpi to 150dpi as printed products like banners and flags are seen from further away.
