What's the difference between vectors and pixels?

There are two main types of graphic files, vector-based and pixel-based.

Vector graphics are created using mathematical equations. This means they can be scaled to any size.

Pixel graphics are made up of little squares, which can be seen when you zoom in on your image. As such, we do not recommend scaling these images up. You should only scale them down.

As a rule of thumb, always try to use vector-type files in your artwork for the best results.
